Why use laser cutting for Heat Transfer Paper? Because the laser spot is small, it is suitable for cutting fine pattern letters, and it is easy to discharge waste.

But not every Heat Transfer Paper is suitable for laser cutting. There are two main materials:
1. TPU lettering film: It has a soft hand feel, stretchable, high coverage, no deformation after high temperature hot stamping, effective thickness: 110-130UM.

2. PVC lettering film: fuller hand feeling, stretch resistance, high coverage, matte surface, effective thickness 120-140UM.

If you use adhesive TPU lettering film, you can use a laser cutting machine/marking machine to cut, but because PVC lettering film mainly contains PVC components, the edge of the material will be yellow after laser cutting, so it needs to be tested before use.
Description of laser cutting process parameters:
1. The laser tube power is preferably 60W or 80W, the smaller the power, the finer the spot
2. The laser cutting of PU lettering film is also half-cut, so the light intensity cannot be turned on too high, about 8%-9.9% (depending on the machine power supply and laser tube)
3. The focal length can be 50.8mm or 38.1mm (38.1mm focal length has the smallest spot, but the platform and material flatness requirements are relatively high)
The laser cutting machine is suitable for proofing or small batch custom processing in the PU engraving film/clothing heat transfer industry. If you want to process the engraving film in large quantities, it is recommended to use a CO2 laser marking machine. Its efficiency is about 10-15 times that of the cutting machine. Of course the price is relatively high.
